Advay's pov~

I was lost in my thoughts when someone barged in my office without knocking. I sighed and said “ can't you just knock before you come.”

“Why would you think I'll knock before coming in? This is not your bedroom that I am supposed to ask for your permission to come in.” Vikrant said, smirking at me. I rolled my eyes at him and continued to do my work.

“So how was your first night?” he asked me while wiggling his brows.

“Why am I supposed to tell you?” I asked him back.

“That means something happened right?” he asked me back with the same smirk.

I looked at him with a done face. His smirk fell from his face. “Ok calm down man. No need to get angry.” he said, being well known to me.

“So what do you think about your wife?” he asked me sincerely.

“I don't know Vik, even if I've given this marriage a chance just because of dadu and dadi. I can't deny the fact that I started liking her the day I saw her on our engagement. And it's also true that I can't believe anyone after what she did to me.” I paused as I looked at my friend who looked at me with pity eyes.

“Every girl is not like her Ad and Adrisha is definitely not like her. you can't be stuck over your past. You have to get over her and start a new life with your wife and your family.” Vikrant said it gave me motivation to get over my past.

“I'm trying vik, maybe it will turn out to be better than a relationship.” I said with a small smile.

He smiled and said “Glad to know you want to get over it. And trust me this will turn out to be the best.”

“ok I'll leave now. I've to go to the office. Best of luck Ad. See you tomorrow.” he said, getting up from his seat.

“Yeah, see you again.” I said embracing my best friend in a brotherly hug. He patted my back before leaving.

Whole day went like a gust of air because of the pending work from the past month.

I looked outside the window and it was dark. I looked at my watch and it was 7:50 already. I took my laptop bag and drove home.

As soon as I entered the home, a fresh aroma of food entered my nostrils. I went towards the dining table and I saw everyone sitting on a table with expectant happy faces. Maa looked at me

“Advay aa gaya beta, ja fresh hoke aaja jaldi khana banne wala hai.” she said while I nodded.

(Advay you came, go and freshen up the dinner is almost ready)

“Yes Bhai, go and come fast, dinner is almost ready,” Rishi said, being excited.

“Toh isme itna khush hone wali konsi baat hai, pehle kabhi Khana nhi khaya kya tune.” I said while he looked at me with a done face.

(So what's there to be so happy about it, haven't you ate food before)

“There is a thing about being happy for dinner, because adrisha bhabhi is making her special and everyone's favourite moong dal halwa. And this delicious aroma is that only.” he said while I shrugged off and went away from their.

On the way to my room I went into the kitchen from the back door. I saw the beauty stirring the halwa with a small smile on her face. She didn't notice my existence. While I went and sneaked my hands on her curvy waist. She jumped a little at my sudden action.

“oh it's you” she looked at me and sighed.

“So do you think anyone else can think about touching my wife in my own house? Here or anywhere, nobody can touch you unless he has a wish to die by my bare hands.”

I whispered in her ear.

She looked at me with her pitch black eyes. I leaned and pressed my lips on her forehead while She closed her eyes.

I detached my figure from her and she continued to stir the halwa. I went from there to freshen up.

Adrisha's pov~

I served the halwa in the bowl. I can't stop thinking about the incident that took place here some minutes ago. I shrugged my thoughts and took the bowl of halwa with me towards the dining table.

I saw everyone sitting including my dear husband. He changed in his casuals and I thought by myself “how can anyone look so fine even in casuals”

Everyone served themselves the food and I served halwa to everyone. They took the first bite. While I smiled expecting to hear the praises they do everytime I make something. But instead of that I looked at them coughing and drinking water. Rishi almost choked on his food after the first bite. While Anika drank the whole glass of water. Rest of the family smiled at me weirdly. While I looked at them being confused.

They all looked at him. While I saw him staring at me. He already took his first bite. He smiled at me and said “It tastes delicious biwi. Can I have more?” I smiled and served more on his plate.

Author's pov ~

Everyone looked at advay with wide eyes and he gave them the look don't say anything. Everyone gulped the sugar free halwa without saying a word. Because nobody can go against The Advay Singhania. Advay took the whole bowl and served all the halwa to himself. While everyone thanked the god that adrisha won't have to eat and realised that she forgot to add sugar in the halwa.

He ate all the halwa like it's the most delicious thing in the world. Adrisha smiled that her husband liked the dessert she made for the first time.

Everyone departed to their rooms after the dinner. While Adrisha was settling in the kitchen. Mahima told her so many times she didn't have to do all the things but she said she likes to do work for her family.

She looked at the saucer which has halwa which she left early in it. She took a bite of it and coughed badly as her taste buds hit. She realised that she forgot to add sugar in the halwa. She also realised why everyone behaved like that when they tasted it.

She went towards her room and saw her husband sitting on the couch working on his laptop. She sat beside him while he looked at her.

“Why did you eat that sugarless halwa? You could've told me na. Why did you eat all of it and made everyone eat too? She asked with a little loud voice.

He placed his laptop on the tea table in front of him. And moved towards her. He held her hands and said “Because you made my favourite thing for the first time. And I know you forgot to add the sugar because of what I did in the kitchen before the dinner. It was not your fault it happened unintentionally. So forget it.”

“But still you could've told me. Why did you ate it?” she asked him again.

“Because you put so much effort into making it. I remember that you smiled when you served it to everyone. I didn't want to make you upset so that's why. And next time make it better, Biwi sahiba.” he said smiling at her. She smiled back and nodded.

After that she changed into her night clothes while he was still working. She sat on the bed waiting for him to finish his work. He looked at her “just a little more and I'll be done with my work.” while she nodded.

He did his work quickly to spend time with his wife. He looked at her and saw her sleeping in a sitting position. He shook his head and chucked at her actions. He made her sleep comfortably and covered her with the duvet. He laid beside her and kissed her forehead while she snuggled close to his chest. She hugged his torso and his hands wrapped around her curvy figure. And he let the sleep engulf him.

Next morning ~

Adrisha's pov~

I woke up with the sun rays falling in my face. I opened my eyes and looked at the man snoring lightly. I smiled and moved my hand to remove the hair falling on his face. He stirred a little and I moved my hand immediately from his face. I tried to remove his hands from my waist and placed a pillow on my place. He hugged the pillow smiling in his sleep. I chuckled at his actions “who would believe this is the same man who has been called devil all the time?”

I went downstairs after getting ready to make breakfast. He was still sleeping as it was still time for his office. I went to the mandir first. I smiled and wished good morning to everyone present there. Dadu, dadi maa and Chachi were there. Rudra bhaiya, papa and chachu went for their morning walk. Priya bhabhi was still sleeping as she gets more sleep nowadays because of her pregnancy. Anika was making rohan ready for school and Rishi didn't wake up early in the morning.

After the morning aarti I went to the kitchen to make breakfast. I made aloo paratha for everyone and poha for dadu dadi as they can't eat oily and spicy food.

(Author's note- Did I Told you guys that they live in Delhi. I think no right.....ok I'm telling you now 😅)

I placed the food on the dining table. By now everyone came to have breakfast except my husband.

I was making a lunch box for Rohan as it's time for his school bus to arrive. Two arms wrapped around my waist and this time it didn't take time for me to realise who this is. I smiled as he snuggled his face in my neck. I giggled as it gave me a ticklish feeling.

“Why didn't you wake me up?” he asked me.

“Because it was still time for your office. And I didn't want to wake you up early.” I said turning around. He took out something from his pocket and I looked at his hand and saw a small box. He took a pinch of vermillion from the box and filled my already filled partition. I smiled and closed my eyes, living the moment.

“I told you I'll do it everyday. So from tomorrow wake me up whenever you'll get ready.” with that he kissed my forehead.

“Advay usse khaana banane de inn sab ke liye toh raat padi hai.” maa said while I was freezed on my place. My eyes widened as my back was facing her.

(Advay let her make food, there is all night to do all this)

“kya karu maa, aapki Bahu ko uski neend zyada pyaari hai. Toh mujhe toh yehi karna padega.” he said to maa. While I hide my face in his chest being embarrassed. I listened to them laughing at my actions.

(What can I do mom, your daughter in law loves her sleep more. So I have to do this.)

With that we left the kitchen. Him and maa laughing at me. Where I was getting embarrassed all the Time.

After breakfast everyone went to their respective works. While he went to his office not before doing his routine of kissing me before going to work leaving me with a blushing red face.
